How Can We Stabilize Soil Using Microbial Communities and Mitigate Desertification?

چکیده
The desert, which covers around one-third of Earth’s continental surface, is defined as the harshest terrestrial environment and comprises a highly extensive biome ecosystem. Microorganisms are key drivers that maintain integrity desert ecosystems. Over past few decades, desertification has increased owing to changes in rainfall patterns global warming, characterized by land degradation, loss microbial diversity (biocrust diversity), multifunctionality with time. Soil stabilization geotechnical modality improves physiochemical properties soil. Biological an emerging method attracts scientific community for soil stabilization. Enriching microorganisms such some bacteria geniuses (Cystobacter, Archangium, Polyangium, Myxococcus, Stigmatella Sorangium, Bacillus, Acinetobacter, Proteus, Micrococcus, Pseudom) or Cyanobacteria (Oscillatoria pseudogeminata, Chroococcus minutus, Phormidium Tenue, Nostoc species), Lichens (Collema sps., Stellarangia Buellia species) might contribute stabilizing mitigating desertification. In this timeline review article, we summarize biological stabilization, especially focusing on role desert.

Can Transgenic Maize Affect Soil Microbial Communities?
The aim of the experiment was to determine if temporal variations of belowground activity reflect the influence of the Cry1Ab protein from transgenic maize on soil bacteria and, hence, on a regulatory change of the microbial community (ability to metabolize sources belonging to different chemical guilds) and/or a change in numerical abundance of their cells. Litter placement is known for its st...
متن کاملHow can we enhance the value of laboratory tests?
Today, the pressures on the healthcare systems for the controlling of the costs are extreme and all sectors try to demonstrate the value of their services by justifying the activities and expenditures so the value can be describe in terms like quality, efficiency, effectiveness, patient satisfaction, cost effectiveness .The value of the lab testing is generally directed to their costs and the c...
متن کاملFlooding effects on soil microbial communities
Flooding affects both aboveand below-ground ecosystem processes. While the below-ground changes may be less obvious, they are as important as the above-ground changes. Soil microorganisms are sensitive to disturbance, and shifts in soil microbial community structure are expected when anaerobic conditions develop from flooding. The primary objective of these studies was to determine the effect o...
